Take Of Pounds Sensibly holds awards program

TOPS Chapter 9319 El Dorado Springs met in The Firefly Services building, on Thursday, July 3, for their regular weigh-in and meeting.

Our leader, Warren called the meeting to order, Carol led us in singing “Write It Down”.

We said our TOPS & KOPS pledges.

Warren led us in Roll Call. Sixteen weighed in, we had a 10.4-pound gain and a 2.6 loss leaving us with a net gain of 7.8 pounds. The best loser for the week was Rachael with a 1.2-pound loss.Congratulations Rachael!

Warren reminded us to keep track of your contest points. Remember, the rules for the awards given at Fun Day are a little different than our chapter contest rules. Pat will award the winner at chapter level; you must attend Fun Day in August to receive any awards at that level.

Carol reported she has 900 best choice labels; she needs 1,000 please bring any you might have as soon as possible so she can get them sent in. The chapter will earn $60 if we reach the 1,000 mark.

Linda Hall gave the awards program today: Pam was the month’s best loser; she lost 11 pounds for the month of June and received the Best loser award and money in the amount of $17.01. In addition, Pam earned her 40-pound loss certificate and charm. She lost 23.2 pounds for the 2nd quarter, making her the best loser for the 2nd quarter. Congratulations Pam!

Erin received her 20-pound loss certificate and charm.

Rachael received a TOPS WALKING ACHIEVEMENT AWARD she walked 903miles and lost .8 (this 6-month award requires a loss too).

Carol received her 10 Year Consecutive KOPS award and Pendant from KOPS International.  Congratulations Carol!

Sue, Erin, Warren and Pam all received back in black with perfect attendance certificates.

We will draw for free dues next week.

MARBLE GAME: There is $30 in the pot, Pam won the right to draw but had to leave so Marie drew for her, and Won!  Congratulations Pam you just won $30.

Laura will have the program next week.

Remember Steve and Juanita will be taking measurements next week.

Pat led the ceremony “Hike Ahead” for induction of Officers for 2026. She gave a very nice program recognizing the officers, Leader Warren, Co-Leader Linda H. Secretary Jean, Treasurer Sue, and weight recorder Marilyn. Thank you, Pat.,

We sang Happy Birthday to Linda C. She is our firecracker as she will celebrate her birthday tomorrow on the 4th of July!

Fred’s birthday was on the 2nd of July but he was not able to be here for us to sing to.
