I will always stand for the anthem, and honor our flag. This photo was taken June 8, 1944, by US Army graves registration two days after the landings on Omaha Beach in Normandy, France, by the 1st Infantry and the 29th Infantry of the US Army, the beginning of the end of Nazi Germany. Each one you see here was someone’s son, husband, fiance. I don’t think that standing for the anthem for a couple of minutes is asking too much. I really don’t.
