TOPS Chapter 9319 El Dorado Springs met in the Bethel Free Will Baptist Church, 1300 S. Summer St., El Dorado Springs, Thursday, Nov. 4, for their weekly weigh-in and meeting.

Robbie Chase, Co Leader, called the meeting to order. Linda Hall was unable to be here due to attending a funeral of a close friend.

Ray and Carol led us in singing “O Give Me A Loss”

We said our TOPS and KOPS pledges.

Robbie led us in roll call and walking reports. Eighteen members weighed in, we had a Gain of 15.6 lbs. and a loss of 7.8 resulting in a net gain of 7.8 lbs. Best loser for the week was Robbie with a loss of 2.8 #.  Congratulations Robbie.

Marilyn presented the October awards:

Chris: Back in Black with Perfect Attendance and tied for monthly Best Loser 4.6 , losing 4.6 for the month

Sharron: Back in Black with Perfect Attendance, six weeks steady loss cert and charm on Oct. 7, 25# loss. certificate Oct. 21, and tie for monthly Best Loser she lost 4.6 for the month.

Sheryl: also earned her 5# loss certificate on Aug. 23, which we missed last month.

Warren: Back in Black with Perfect Attendance.

Total losses were 33.4#, gains were 35.4# giving us a net gain of 2 #.

Winner of the free dues was Sue.

The Secretary’s report was read and approved.

Treasures report was given: Starting seneral fund Balance $2,723.34, income $85.77, expenses $153.91, ending general fund balance $2,655.20. Recognition Day Fund has a balance of $3.14. There is $70.30 in the Church Fund and $13.16 in the best loser fund.

Treasures report was approved as read by motion from Sharron, second by Marie, motion carried.

Robbie read a letter from Deanna Bies, TOPS Service Program Administrator. She gave us suggestions on how to be “Mindful Through the Holidays.” Remember, the Holidays are about being with family and friends. Food should not be the event.

Marilyn presented the new contest: It starts today, the cost to enter is $1 there will be two teams. Marilyn had members draw to see which team they are on. KOPS will be added to each team. In addition to doing the featured activity each week if you lose you get an extra point KOPS have to be below goal to get an extra point. If one of the teams gains each team member must add 25 cents to the pot. Marilyn suggested making a chart of your activity each day.

Remember we will be meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 23, on Thanksgiving week.

Marble game: Laura won the right to draw but did not get the winning one.

Laura has the program next week.

With no other business meeting was adjourned with Linda’s quote of the week. “Follow your heart. Listen to your inner voice. Go where your spirit guides you.”
