TOPS (Take Pounds Off Sensibly)

Tops Chapter 9319 El Dorado Springs (Take Off Pounds Sensibly)  met in the Bethel Free Will Church, 1300 S Summer St El Dorado Springs, on Thursday, Nov. 5, for their weekly weigh in and meeting.

Susan S, Leader called the meeting to order

Carol led us in singing “Halloween Song”.

We said our TOPS and KOPS Pledges.

Roll Call:  Susan led us in the roll call and walking report. Twenty members weighed in, we had a 9.2 gain and a 15.0 loss resulting in a net loss of 5.8 lbs.

LOSERS AND PROUD OF IT – Laura Hicks (right) received an award for 100 pounds lost. Sue Christy (left) received an award for 50 pounds lost.

Best loser for the week was Pam with a loss of 4.2 lbs.

Other great losses were: Linda C 2.2, Sue C 1.8, Robbie 2.0, Laura 1.4 and Melissa 1.6.

Marble game: Linda C won the right to draw but did not get the winning one.  Pot is at $38.

New business: It looks like we will not be able to go back to the Grace Methodist Church in the foreseeable future. We will continue to meet at Bethel Freewill Baptist Church. They are allowing us to store our items in the church. If there happens to be a dinner scheduled at the church on a Thursday, we will weigh in only and leave.

Old business: December Christmas Party Dec. 10. Susan asked Marie if she would do the “story” as we pass the gifts around and she agreed.

Meeting was then turned over to Marilyn and Carol for the awards:

We had a net loss of 23.2 lbs. for October.

Winner of free dues was Juda W.

Best loser for the month was Laura with 6.0 lb. loss. She won $3.85.

Marilyn had two very special awards to present today:

Sue C was presented with a certificate for her 50 lb. loss.

Laura was presented with a certificate for her 100 lb. loss

Congratulations, we are so proud of both of you.
