Morning message at the Rockville United Methodist Church Sunday morning service was by Pastor Larry Sorrells entitled “Siege the Day” taken from Philippians 3:1-6. You are welcome at the Rockville United Methodist Church whatever you age, your abilities or your personal history, you are welcome with open hearts, open minds, and open doors Sunday worship 9 am.

Mt. Zion Home Bible study was held in the Tom and Beverly Pelkey home met Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. to study the Bible with 12 in attendance.

Mt. Zion Club will meet Jan. 16, in Marge Zink home for an afternoon meeting.

The Mt. Zion area has had our Missouri weather rain that makes frozen mud warmer weather to make you dream of spring and did fine a dandelion in bloom.

Glad Florine French is home from the hospital where she celebrated her birthday.

Tom Pelkey is glad to be back outside working not much fun being sick and the wood pile getting low; Beverly is still taking care of the cats.

Recent visitors in the Howard and Dixie Peterson home have been Brenda Peterson of Richmond, Kent and Tucker Crawford and Hayden, Mike and Stacy Griffith.

At The Robin Siegismund farm Belle and Robin have ”Chicken Fever,” in fact Robin was viewing chickens on the computer and reading seed catalog. Belle was sitting on the fresh bale of hay viewing her chickens. Still wondering why see didn’t see Santa Claus although she had a good Christmas.

Bob Suster is home from the hospital taking treatments in Clinton.

Several from the area attended the VFW Post 11242 and Ladies Auxiliary of Appleton City meeting Jan. 3, at the Christian Church supper at 6:30 pm meeting at 7:30 looking forward to seeing you Feb. 7.

John and Julia Snethen had there last Christmas celebration in Warrensburg they met Cody and Abby Wright, Chryshella and David Vandivier and had lunch and exchanged gifts. Julia went to Appleton City and had her hair even out by Jenny.
