Mt. Zion enjoyed the pleasant weather this past week, a little unusual for August but nice. The Golden Rod and another yellow like sunflower are brightening up the roadside.

Julian and John Snethen went shopping in El Dorado Springs again this week. Julia made it to the Mt. Zion Club meeting.

After enjoying a bountiful breakfast, Wilma gave the devotion, What Kind of Tater Are You?  Marge gave the history of the Club. Next meeting Sept. 23.

Tom Pelkey told Beverly that he found the Wood Fairy, out by the garage, there was a huge object with two big eyes and a large round open mouth. laying on the ground. The Wood Fairy must be sleeping or worse. Tom got the tractor and set the thing upright and moved it to a better place and to Tom it was the Wood Fairy, Beverly thought so too, looks like a hollow log to me.

Beverly celebrated her birthday at home, still feeding the hummingbirds and the cats. Cats don’t bother the birds and the birds don’t bother the cats.

The Rockville Hand Quilters were delighted when several of the girls from Appleton City High School Class of 1982 visited Thursday. The girls have always gotten together once a year. They enjoyed visiting their mothers, aunts and friends there. I wonder when they got outside if they thought will that be us in twenty or so years? but the old ladyies seem to be having fun.

Dixie Peterson still doing therapy at Truman Lake Manor.

Over at the Robin Siegismund Farm, things are fairly normal. Belle’s foot had healed except when she sees Daniel, knowing she will get sympathy she starts walking on three legs. Robin is still busy making little people blankets. Belle thinks these are her favorite pictures of rabbits.

Brenda Peterson spent the weekend with Uncle Howard Peterson. They enjoyed family dinner with Stacy and Mike Griffith ad Marge Zink Sunday.
