Mt. Zion area is enjoying nice fall weather with cooler temperatures, fall colors still pretty. Some are picking up pecans and walnuts. Soybeans are still being harvested. Farm animals have not adjusted to the time change.

Dixie Peterson is back to Truman Lake Manor after sending several days at Golden Valley Hospital a second time. She loves hearing from everyone.

Leroy and Dortha Swope and son from Florida, enjoyed a week camping at the family farm, proving there is no place like home.

Congratulations to Harvey Christie who won the Veterans quilt at the D Bar J Quilt Shop in Rockville.

James and Karen Rosbrough visited Tom and Beverly Pelkey and brought a bucket of pretty gourds to share.

Tom Pelkey has been preparing for winter, mulching the leaves, filling the wood box and looking for a warm hat for the Wood Fairy. Beverly is looking too while doing some fall cleaning.

Judy Piepmeier will have surgery again this week to repair her eye, please keep her in your prayers. She was happy to attend the wedding recently.

Wanda Rector spent another week at home resting up so she can help her schedule for the next two weeks.

Julia Snethen went to the doctor and did not get a good report, while there she and John Snethern did some shopping in Bolivar, El Dorado Springs and Osceola and made her beauty shop appointment
