News from Harwood and Schell City

Madalyn’s Kitchen, south of Schell City will hold her Valentine’s dinner on Sunday, Feb. 14, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. She will have Prime Rib, shrimp or chicken. The price will depend on what meat you chose. She does not serve breakfast any more on Sundays. She serve breakfast the rest of the wee, except on Wednesdays when she is closed. Madalyn will be closed on Feb. 7, Super Bowl Sunday. She doesn’t think anyone will show up because of the big game.

Bob and Cheryl Ellerman of Edwards, visited in the home of Helen Ellerman Sunday, Jan. 31.

The Harwood Post Office is open Monday through Saturday from 1:15-3:15 pm. so people can get their mail, buy stamps and mail packages. The lobby is open 24 hours a day so people can get their mail from their box.

The weather in the area had been cold. The area probably had around 1 1⁄2 inches of snow early Wednesday morning, Jan. 27. It will help the farmer’s wheat.
