News from Harwood and Schell City

Madalyn’s Kitchen, south of Schell City, will be closed on Mother’s Day May 12. She says she will be closed on Memorial Day weekend but she says she doesn’t know how many days. I will put it in my new later.

Church service was held at the Harwood Baptist Church Sunday, April 28. Brother Mike Dunivan’s sermon “Have You Taken up the Cross” was taken from John 12:23-26

Jewel and Helen Ellerman attended the local signing for the Book “Collision with Destiny” that Neoma Foreman had written. She is from Walker. She is selling the book for $10. It was held at the El Dorado Springs library. Carol Butts, of El Dorado Springs, pick them up to go to the book signing.

The Harwood Post Office is open Monday thru Saturday 1:15-3:15 p.m. so people can pick up their mail, buy stamps and mail packages. The lobby is open 24 hours so people can get their mail.

Jewel and Helen Ellerman attended the CMA service at the Grace United Methodist Church Sunday evening, April 28. It was a very good program.

The weather in the area had started to be a lot better. The farmers had started to get in the fields to plant their crops and people had been able to get their gardens out.
