Vaccations are nice but no place like home

Mt. Zion Home Bible study meets each Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the Tom and Beverly Pelkey home to study the Bible with eight present. Please join us.

Sympathy to the family of Jo Burrow funeral services were held Tuesday. She will be greatly missed.

It is starting to look like fall in the Mt. Zion area with all the corn harvested. The soybeans are almost ready, a little color to the trees.

Sheri Suster attended funeral services for her mother Sunday.

Tom and Beverly Pelkey returned Thursday after spending several days in the Branson area. They enjoyed the show, Moses, shopping and eating out. Gregg and Meshi Pelkey joined them for lunch on Sunday. Vacations are nice; but there is no place like home. Hoppy, the dog, was very happy to see them, they had beautiful weather.

Howard and Dixie Peterson joined Marge Zink, Stacy and Mike Griffith for supper Saturday night.

The Billy goats have returned to winter at Robin Siegismund.

At the Rockville Hand Quilters, we shared the bounty of Wilma Williams garden green beans, they were delicious.

John and Julia Snethen along with Charlie Roush, Linda Licher, Ruth Cary, Carolena Anderson and Kellie Deatherage attended the 45th anniversary of the OATS Transportation in Columbia on Wednesday.

Friday John and Julia Snethen were in Clinton in the evening helping to prepare for the spaghetti dinner. Saturday they served spaghetti dinner for the Clinton Chapter # 73, stopping by Wal-Mart on their way home.
