TWIN LICKS –Eight year old twins Tyler and Kyler Zimmer were two of about 200 people, children and adults, who met at the City Pool Monday evening, Aug. 8, to enjoy a free swim and free ice cream. The late rain shower didn’t dampen anyone’s enthusiasm for the free stuff. The crowd consumed over 20 gallons of vanilla ice cream during the two-hour party.
One young father was overheard trying to convince his young daughter to go back for another dip of ice cream for Daddy. When she wouldn’t, he went back to the “dippers” and asked for another dip of ice cream for his daughter.
The event was hosted by the Opera House Arts Council and the El Dorado Springs Optimist Club.
