DOLLAR BY DOLLAR – Sixteen members of the El Dorado Springs Volunteer Fire Department spent four hours of their Labor Day Holiday collecting $2,618.91 for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

According to Fire Chief Owen Elliot this year’s collection was the highest in the last several years. He said the money is taken to the bank where it is counted and a cashier’s check is issued to MDA.

The volunteers are always set up at the corner of Hwys. 54 and 82 on Labor Day Monday. Pictured are (from left) City Building Inspector and Volunteer Fireman Aaron Smith, Volunteer Fireman Tom Gough and Elliot.
