High School scholarship season is here

El Dorado Springs Community Foundation offers six local scholarships for El Dorado Springs high school students and there are a host of other scholarships available on the Community Foundation of the Ozarks website.

Applications will be accepted January 1, 2026 through March 16, 2026.  Scholarship applications and instructions can be found at the following web address: cfozarks.org/applyforscholarships.

Our local scholarships include:

Doc and Bonnie Bender Memorial Scholarship – $500 for ELDS high school senior pursuing a college degree, renewable 2nd year $750, 3rd year $1,000.

Dorothy Pope Memorial Nursing Scholarship – $500 for students pursuing a degree in nursing.

Shelley D White Briscoe Memorial Nursing Scholarship – $500 for ELDS high school senior pursuing a degree in a healthcare related field.

Eldon Steward Agricultural Scholarship – $500 for ELDS high school senior pursuing a degree in an agricultural related field.

Ellis & Jennie Barritt Educational Scholarship – $1,500 for ELDS high school senior preferably pursuing a degree in education and is renewable for 3 years.

Clonts Anderson Scholarship – $1,500 for ELDS high school senior girl seeking higher education.
