An Overview of the 2.9 Billion Decline in Birds: How you can help

Join us to hear Mark Robbins discuss the impact of the drastic decline in birds since the 1970s, and the reasons for hope.

Arrive at 6:30 pm to enjoy refreshments. The program starts at 7 p.m.

Mark is an ornithologist at the University of Kansas Biodiversity Institute, where he has been the collection manager since 1993. He published The status and distribution of Birds in Missouri in 2018. He serves on both state and international avian checklist committees. Mark has deposited over 11,000 avian audio recordings at the Macaulay Library, Cornell University from fieldwork he has done across the planet, having the distinction of describing several bird species new to science.
