Harold Dean Boehs, 78, of Nevada, MO passed away Saturday, June 14, 2025, as the result of a bicycle accident. He was born on May 28, 1947, to Wilmer and Martha (Schmidt) Boehs in Montezuma, KS. On July 24, 1955, Harold married Velma Jantz in Rich Hill, Missouri. She survives of the home.
After working various jobs, Harold was hired on at 3M Corporation in Nevada, MO, being one of the first 100 employees. After 33 years he retired from 3M. Harold had several part-time jobs during retirement with delivering flowers and volunteering at the hospital being two of his favorites.
Survivors include his loving wife, Velma; children, Marilyn and Doyle Yost and Jeanette and Sidney Nightengale, both of Ulysses, Kansas, Eugene Boehs, Harwood, MO, and Krista and Paul Schneider, Walker, MO; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and four step- grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, parents-in-law, two sisters, one brother-in-law, and one son-in-law.
Services will begin at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, June 18, at the Living Faith Mennonite Church, Walker, MO, with pastors Shelby Koehn, Phillip Schmidt, and John Becker officiating. Interment will follow at the Living Faith Mennonite Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. Tuesday, June 17, at Ferry Funeral Home and from 6-8 p.m. at the Living Faith Mennonite Church.
