Tom Jennings, 80, Nevada, left this life on March 30, 2022. He was born on Nov. 27, 1941, to Jesse and Blanche (Stewart) Jennings.
After graduation he met and later married the love of his life Patsy (Domino) Sumner on May 9, 1959. To this union four children were born; Rhonda Jean, Ron, J.D., and Darl. During his life he worked at the International Shoe Factory then retired from Fram. Throughout Tom’s life he enjoyed spending time at his cabin in Roscoe fishing on the Osage River, and also restoring old tractors. He was a man of many talents, from fabricating trailers, to building houses, to fixing hot wheels, there was nothing he couldn’t figure out, but most of all he enjoyed family. His orneriness was his best personality trait.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Jesse and Blanche Jennings; daughter, Rhonda Jean; in-laws, Clifford and Fern Sumner; three brothers and five sisters.
Tom is survived by his wife of 62 years, Patsy; sons, Ron Jennings (Karen), J.D. Jennings (Angela), Darl Jennings (Kerry); sisters, Dolly Moore and Marge Hacker and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family and friends.
Services for Tom Jennings was held Saturday, April 2, and burial followed in Mound Cemetery under the direction of Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home.
