Taberville Report

Dains Fish Farm

They are still catching limits of blue cats even wth the Osage in the parking lot in Taberville. You can’t fish from the bank, but if you can fish a place to launch your boat you can catch fish. Cats are biting on limb lines and road and reel in the Osceola area. You can get a boat in at Roscoe. They are catcing fish under the bridge here, There aren’t very many places you can fish from.

Some people are catching limits of 5 lb. fish on cut bullheads and  cut shad. You catch bigger fish on live bait. They are catching lot of fish over the slot limit. Cut bait will catch you limits of five lb. fish.

Caplinger Mills Report

Caplinger Woods

They hadn’t run the Stockton Dam in a week. They will run it at 4 p.m. Monday. It usually helps when the water is coming up but not when it is completely up.

They’ve been catching crappie, white bass and catfish. The Corps announces early in the morning when they are going to ru the water that day.

For catfish, some people use minnows. Some use whole or cut shad.

It sounds like the crappie are on bushpiles.

I know they are catching a few walleye, but a lot of them are short.  I’d say the fish are anywhere from 15 to 40 ft. They are trolling with bottom bouncers.
