Taberville Report

Dains Fish Farm

We still have people trotlining and having success.

Friday we had a family and they only had two days to trotline. They got their brown carp. They came back the next day for more of them.

They ran their lines that morning. They had one blue in the slot they had to throw back, two under the slot and one 25 lb. flathead. They came back for more bait. I didn’t hear how they did over the weekend. They were really excited.

I’ve heard of several people using the brown carp and bullhead. I don’t know the details. They were comparing numbers and sizes. So, evidently it was good over the weekend.

A lady came in yesterday wanting to go crappie fishing at Schell. I didn’t have any minnows so the bought some plastics. I was hoping she would come back today and give me a report. I haven’t heard of anybody else crappie fishing.

I haven’t heard of anybody rod and reel fishing but trotlining is just staying pretty darn good.

Fishing hasn’t been too good today (Tuesday).  My son-in-law went down and caught some drum and stuff. The water is still high for some reason (at 2:30 p.m.)

Somebody went down earlier and caught some decent size crappie on minnows.
