Cedar County Commission met April 21,2025. Present: Kenneth Thornton; Presiding Commissioner; Ron Alumbaugh, ‘Northern Commissioner; Ted Anderson, Southern Commissioner; and Peggy Kenney, County Commission Administrative Assistant.

Met with county elected officials as a group to discuss audit findings

Present: Lowe, Treasurer; McCrary, Sheriff; Gaither, Prosecutor; Turner, Circuit Clerk; Nelson, Collector; York, County Clerk; Morton, Assessor; Haden, Public Administrator; Dawson, Associate Judge

Carla Lowe. Treasurer submitted sales tax report

Met with DJ Ford, Road & Bridge Supervisor for weekly status report; it was reported 1000 Rd, 570 Rd, 1250 Rd,

800 Rd, 1719 Rd 950 Rd was in need of repair

Bates County Commissioner, Jim Wheatley sent paperwork to be resubmitted with the chance counties may still be eligible for payment; paperwork was filled out for submission

Approved expenditures to be paid

Larry Statesman inspected air conditioning unit; reported it was froze up

Officer Graves inquired about the Cedar County Ambulance Board Dispatch Contract; Commission hasn’t been presented a contract for review

Re-signed letter from State Auditor concerning audit that was originally signed June 2024, but not submitted to State Auditor’s Office, Signed by Thornton, Presiding Commissioner; York, County Clerk

Motion by Anderson; Second by Alumbaugh to appoint Anderson to Kaysinger Basin Regional Planning Commission
