The Cedar County Commission met November 12, 2019. Present were: Marlon Collins, Presiding Commissioner; Don Boultinghouse, Northern Commissioner; Robert Foster, Southern Commissioner; Heather York, County Clerk  

Approved Commission Minutes for November 4, 2019.

Met with Chad Pyle, Assessor 

Requests to process court order 24866-24910, to add-on the assessed valuation of newly purchased personal property.  Real property court order #1310.

Met with Sheriff James McCrary

Weekly Report of Inmate Housing: Out of County – 60, Cedar – 4 = 64

Miles Bright stopped into discuss his tax statement.  The commissioners turned the conversation over to the collector.

Commissioner Collins returned a call to Cindy Malone concerning her request to close the hospital.

Met with DJ Ford, Road & Bridge Supervisor

Discussed CR1485, CR570, culvert pipe order, and status of Myers Bridge project.   

Commission reviewed monthly report from the Sheriff’s Office.

Met with Peggy Kenney, Treasurer

She had received quarterly paperwork on 2017 FEMA project.  She and Commissioner Collins signed.  Treasurer also submitted invoices for commissioners’ review.

Received paperwork for BRO-B020(18).  Collins signed letter over request from Great River Engineering for MODOT.

Commissioner Boultinghouse made motion to sign the exclusion request form to opt-out from the National Prescription Opiate Litigation, seconded by Foster.  Collins – Yes, Foster – Yes, Boultinghouse – Yes

Bills and payroll were approved.
