The Cedar County Commission met May 26, 2020. Present were: Marlon Collins, Presiding Commissioner; Don Boultinghouse, Northern Commissioner; Robert Foster, Southern Commissioner; Heather York, County Clerk.

Met with Chad Pyle, Assessor

Requests to process court order 25487-25502, to add-on the assessed valuation of newly purchased personal property.  Discussed quotes received for light fixture replacements and new wiring to support the change.  Also discussed the quote received from Santa Paula Awning to remove the large front office window and replace with a counter window for COVID-19 barrier.

Met with Peggy Kenney, Treasurer

Reimbursement funding in the amount of $41,138.26 was received for FEMA DR4317 to be disbursed to the special road districts who claimed during the 2017 disaster.  A breakdown was provided to the treasurer.

Met with Sheriff James McCrary

Weekly Report of Inmate Housing: 48

Discussed 911 grant funding requirements of a 50% match ability to sustain the system beyond the life of the grant.  Further details will arrive later.    

Met with DJ Ford, Road & Bridge Supervisor

Discussed results of the demo period for the CAT vs. John Deere graders, no decisions were made.  Discussed request for gravel on CR501, and maintenance on CR1260, and CR601.  Received “Thank You” for grading on CR450, CR701 and CR1001.  Received “Thank You” for gravel on CR151.

Commission selected Automatic Hand Dryers for the courthouse and road and bridge barn to be purchased from federal funds received to minimize the spread of COVID-19.

Commission reviewed unapproved minutes from the CCMH Board of Trustees Meeting, and from the County Law Enforcement Restitution Fund Board of Trustees Meeting.

Commission signed the FY2021 Member Dues invoice with Quad-Lakes Solid Waste Management District.

Commission reviewed a letter requesting support from West Central Missouri Community Action Agency and tabled until June 1, 2020.   

Bills and payroll were approved.
