Friday 7/02/21

• RP in Eldo reported he had 22 head of cattle on his property that did not belong to him. He reported that they have been there a little over a week and he and neighbors have went around thew area and no one seemed to have any cattle missing. Deputy made contact with the RP and with multiple neighbors and the sheriff made aware of the call.

• RP at Dade/Lawrence Co. line called to report that he had he had seen a post about a stolen truck. He referenced the report number and said he had seen the truck at Hopewell Church in Lawrence Co. Lawrence Co. sent a deputy to the location to see if the truck matched the description of the one stolen and would let CCSO know. Lawrence Co. reported back that they did recover the stolen truck and was picked up by the registered owner.

• A Ranger at Cedar Ridge N. ramp called in to report they were with a vehicle and the driver was acting odd and was incoherent, giving multiple names and refusing to leave the park. The Ranger requested assistance from CCSO deputy. Deputy dispatched to assist. HBO

• RP at Sama’s in Stockton called to report a possible intoxicated female sitting out on the business’s outside bench. Deputy dispatched and made contact with subject who stated she was there waiting on her boyfriend to pick her up. Call cleared.

• CCSO deputy out to assist ESPD with a search warrant in Stockton.

• 2 vehicle MVA reported at J and 900 Rd. Deputy dispatched to scene. No injuries and no road blockage. State contacted.

• RP at Stockton Park reported that there were 4 kids setting off fireworks and damaging park property. Deputy dispatched and observed that the subjects had blown up a trash can with the fireworks and left in a car. Deputy located vehicle and the juveniles and one of the male subjects. Citation issued.

• Traffic stop of a suspicious vehicle on CC Hwy. DL obtained and cleared.

• RP called and reported a suspicious vehicle up on the hill just west of 2000 Rd and 525 in Jerico Springs.  Deputy dispatched but vehicle was gone on arrival.

• RP at Stockton Country Club called and requested deputies to keep an eye on the large American flag that they had outside during fireworks display, that they were leaving up for the night. Information passed to all deputies on duty.

Saturday 7/03/21

• Traffic stop at 97 and 1370 rd. in Jericho. Warning issued for equipment.

• Deputy out with suspicious person at Woods in Stockton. Subject cleared.

• RP in Stockton reported a disturbance of someone shooting fireworks very early in the morning, keeping people awake. Deputy dispatched and was handled by officer.

• RP in Stockton reported that he noticed someone had broken into his residence and stole money, a gun and jewelry from his safe. Deputy dispatched to residence and report taken.

• Traffic stop on Hwy B and 975 Rd. in Stockton. Vehicle was recently purchased so a warning was issued for displaying previous owners’ plates. Plates were seized by the deputy.

• RP at Orleans Trail campground reported someone was popping fireworks and fireworks are prohibited at the campground. Deputy dispatched and advised occupants of that and they complied.

Sunday 7/04/21

• RP reported witnessing a one vehicle accident on Hwy 32 and 1350 Rd. in Stockton. Possible intoxicated driver traveling at high rate of speed around a corner and left the roadway and flipped a few times, landing against a tree. Deputy dispatched and passed scene and as he did, RP stated driver tried to hide in the bushes. RP signaled deputy to show him where they were. Deputy on scene. MSHP also on scene. Turned over to state.

• RP in Eldo reported that when she returned home from work, she observed that her a/c had been stolen out of her bedroom window. Deputy dispatched and a/c found in her yard. RP reported her large dog either scared off thief or knocked it out of the window. Case cleared.

• Rp at Orleans Trail campground reported several sailboats just offshore were playing music very loud causing a disturbance. Rangers on scene due to deputies on other calls, no music located.

• Dallas Co. called and reported an RP at Casey’s in Eldo reported an altercation . RP stated that she was in a physical altercation with someone who approached her vehicle and started beating on her window of her car. Dallas Co. had no further info. Dispatch transferred call to ESPD.

• Traffic stop at Car X in Stockton. Warning x2 issued for acceleration inside city limits and no front plates.

• RP from Caplinger Mills reported that there was people that would not leave after being asked to and requested a deputy to come handle the situation. Deputy dispatched but the RP called back and cancelled call stating the situation was resolved.

• Traffic stop at 1525 and RB in Stockton. Warning issued for speed.

• Traffic stop at Church and Pine in Stockton. Warning issued x2 for wrong plates and equipment.

• Traffic stop at Stockton Middle School. Warning x 2 issued for no front plate and speed.

• RP at Crabtree Cove cliffs reported 2 male subjects were on the cliffs shooting fireworks at the boats on the water. Deputy dispatched and contacted the subjects who were intoxicated. One subject became belligerent with the deputy so assistance call was made. Two deputies dispatched to location and made contact. Two subjects from Fair Grove were arrested  and booked into CCSO jail.

Monday 7/05/21

• RP in Stockton reported her boyfriend was harassing her. Deputy dispatched and made contact. HBO

• Deputy advised he was enroute to a burglary in Eldo at Pizza Hut. Upon arrival, a Eldo PD car had already arrived and scared off subjects.

• Traffic stop in Eldo at Caseys. No action taken, handled by officer.

• Suspicious person reported at Eldo Mexican restaurant. Deputy made contact with subject and situation handled by officer.

• Alarm at the Eagles in Eldo. Deputy dispatched. Alarm accidently set off.

• Warrant served in Eldo. Deputy arrested Chris Menter of Eldo.

• Deputy observed a vehicle speeding on North St. passing 1501 Rd. Deputy started pursuit for traffic stop. Subject began to flee and the deputy continued to pursue. Subject led deputy and other deputies that came to assist on a pursuit throughout the area. The subject rammed a Deputies vehicle. Subject bailed vehicle and continued fleeing on foot. Deputies were unable to locate subject at the time. Chevy Ashbaker was later arrested and charged with assaulting an officer and resisting arrest.

Tuesday 7/06/21

• Alarm going off at Stockton high school; deputy dispatched and made contact with a subject. Situation handled by officer.

• 911 call for MVA involving a deer. Vehicle received front end damage. No injuries reported.

• RP advised that there was an alarm at Stockton high school the night before but was cleared. The RP was a teacher and just found stuff to be missing and would like a deputy to come and file a report.

• RP at Virgil City Union Church in Eldo reported that drug paraphernalia was found on the pulpit and requested a deputy come and remove it. Deputy dispatched and recovered 2 items.

• Request for welfare check at a residence in Jerico. An Oats driver tried to make contact with a person that was to be given a ride to an appointment but wouldn’t answer the door or phone. Deputy dispatched and made contact with the subject. All clear.

• RP at Crabtree Area Bluffs; report of people at the bluffs drinking and throwing beer bottles. Deputy dispatched and contact made with the subjects. Citations issued.

• Traffic stop near Stockton Lake walk-in clinic, consent to search given, nothing found, warning issued.

• Traffic stop on Church St. in Stockton. Warning issued for wrong sticker on license plate.

• Traffic stop at Casey’s in Stockton. Warning issued for expired license plate. Warrant came back from Humansville. Tyler Pate was placed under arrest and booked into CC jail.

• RP in Stockton reported that when he got home he noticed it had been broken into. Power tools and other objects were taken.  Deputy dispatched and report was taken.

• Traffic stop at 32 and U Hwy in Stockton. Warning issued for equipment.

• Traffic stop at Woods in Stockton. Warning issued for failure to yield.

Wednesday 7/07/21

• RP in Eldo reported that her son told her that someone has been stealing tin from her barn. Requested a deputy to go to her sons work and talk with him. Deputy dispatched and talked with son. Extra patrol was requested at area.

• RP from Eldo reported a suspicious male came to her door asking for someone she doesn’t know and was refusing to leave and she was very scared. Deputy dispatched and made contact with subject.

Thursday 7/08/21

• RP in Stockton reported that she had 2 cows that jumped her fence into next door neighbors pasture.. She stated her neighbor helped her put them back inside her fence. The cows jumped fence again a few days later but neighbor had moved his cattle and her 2 cows were missing and she didn’t know what she should do. Deputy dispatched and took report.

• RP in Jerico reported neighbors were yelling and hitting each other. Deputy dispatched and advised that both subjects have separated for the evening.

Friday 07/09/2021

• Traffic stop at 1700 and 97 hwy. warning issued for lane violation.

• Traffic stop on Macon and Broadway in Jerico. Warning issued for failure to use turn signal.

• RP in Stockton reported an abandoned vehicle at 952 Rd. east of Hwy 39. Vehicle doors were locked and no keys. Handled by officer, tow service was called.

• Deputy to Eldo PD for prisoner transport to CCSO.

• RP in Stockton reported that there were 3 juveniles under the age of 6 alone on Z Hwy off 39 at a creek. Deputy dispatched and came in contact with the parents who were just down the road.

Saturday 07/10/2021

• RP near Hwy 39 and RB Rd in Stockton, reported a potential intoxicated driver that almost ran into him and all over the roadway. Vehicle was observed coming from a bar in Stockton and was only going about 5 miles per hour. Deputy and MSHP dispatched and pulled over the vehicle. Kristina Hays placed into custody and transported to S.O. and booked for DWI.

• Received call of a disturbance at Cedar Ridge campgrounds. Deputy dispatched and requested assistance from MSHP. A male subject was arrested and transported to CCSO.

• RP in Stockton reporting the alarm sounded at Pirtle Automotive. Deputy dispatched and unable to contact owner. Deputy found everything secure.

• RP in Jerico reported their vehicle was hit by a driver that didn’t stop. RP gave description of the vehicle. Deputy dispatched and took report from RP.

• RP from east of Stockton reporting a domestic assault.  Two deputies dispatched and made contact with RP. One subject was arrested and transported to CCSO jail.

• RP in Stockton reported her vehicle stolen. RP gave description of vehicle and who subject was that stole it. Dispatch advised Barton Co. A Barton Co. deputy located vehicle and arrested Jeremiah Brandell and transported him to CCSO jail.

Sunday 7/11/2021

• RP call request for welfare check in Stockton. RP stated she hadn’t talked with her father in a couple weeks and he’s not in good health. Deputy dispatched and RP made contact with her dad. He was OK

Monday 07/12/2021

• RP call in Stockton reported possible animal neglect. Deputies dispatched and made contact with RP.

• Deputy dispatched to Eldo to recover stolen property from P.D. Deputy returned property to owner.

• RP in Stockton call to report her house had been broken into on 7/11/21. Deputy dispatched and report was taken.

• RP at Woods in Stockton reported 2 female subjects in the parking lot,  yelling and arguing and feared a physical altercation might occur. Deputy dispatched and subjects were gone upon arrival.

• Traffic stop at Englewood and South St.  Warning issued for speed through a parking lot and no headlights.

Tuesday 07/13/2021

• Deputy dispatched to Eldo for summons issue.

• Traffic stop in Stockton at Second Beach. Warning issued

• Vernon Co. reported a 911 call from Stockton that an RP said kids were jumping out of cars on 97 Hwy by the bridge . Call transferred to another agency.

• Traffic stop in Stockton. Citation issued for failure to maintain financial responsibility.

• RP in Eldo reported they just witnessed an individual carrying a firearm and ducked into a house. Deputy dispatched and made contact with the subject and no firearm was found.

• Traffic stop in Stockton. Warning issued for equipment.

• Traffic stop at South and Charles in Stockton. Warning issued for registration.

• Traffic stop at Hwy 32 and 2065 Rd in Stockton. Warning issued for registration.

• Traffic stop at South and Oak in Stockton. Jacob Dylan Veitschegger of Springfield was arrested and transported to CCSO jail.

• Traffic stop at Woods in Stockton. Warning issued for equipment.

• Traffic stop at Hwy 39 and Lutheran Church in Stockton. Warning issued for no turn signal.

Thursday 07/15/2021

• Security alarm reported at Village Music in Stockton. Deputy dispatched to location and all doors and windows were secure.

• RP in Stockton called to report a suspicious vehicle at 1501 Rd in Stockton. Deputy dispatched and driver reported that they ran out of gas and was waiting for help.

• Suspicious vehicle reported at the courthouse in Stockton. Deputy dispatched and vehicle was illegally parked. Deputy tagged vehicle.

• Nevada PD officer called to report a hit-and-run at Walmart and the suspected vehicle was registered to an Eldo resident. CCSO deputy dispatched to Eldo and spoke with vehicle owner and took pictures for victim for report.

• Traffic stop at The Boathouse in Stockton. Warning issued.

• Traffic stop at Johnson Body Shop in Stockton. Warning issued for no temporary tags.

• MVA at 32 and Cedar Creek Bridge with injuries. Deputies, EMS and fire dispatched.
