In the case of all arrests, it must be remembered that the charge is merely an accusation and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

Law enforcement activities

The El Dorado Springs Police Department responded to 86 requests for assistance this past week, April. 27 – May 3. The requests were as follows:

Ambulance 15, Animal Control 12, Assist Other Agencies 23, All Escorts 0, Nuisance 0, All Other Requests for Assistance 59, Summons 5.

Found Property is available for viewing, Monday through Saturday, by appointment only. A detailed description of the property you’re wishing to view must be specified when making the appointment. Found Property is subject to disposal after 90 days based on value of the property if unclaimed by owner.

Police Report

On April 27, 2020, officers responded to 220 West US 54 Highway, Fugate Motors, concerning a reported theft from a motor vehicle. The investigation revealed the theft of an inverter generator from a recreation vehicle.  A report taken and the investigation continues.   

On April 27, 2020, officers responded to a reported larceny at 608 North Jackson. The investigation revealed the theft of two 30 pound propane tanks. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On April 27, 2020, officers responded to 408 North St. James concerning a check the well being. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Gage T Howard, 19, of Blue Springs, Mo, for the probable cause of Possession of Less than 35 Grams of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was released on summonses pending a court appearance.

On April 27, 2020, officers responded to 110 South Grand concerning a reported assault. Juvenile suspects have been identified, a report taken and the investigation continues.

On April 29, 2020, officers arrested Jesse J. Tindle, 38, of El Dorado Springs, for a Cedar County Warrant, charging him with Misdemeanor, Stealing, False Impersonation of Law Enforcement, and Resist Arrest with a $2000.00 bond. He was transferred to the Cedar County Jail pending bond and a court appearance.

On April 29, 2020, officers responded to 317 South Ohio concerning a domestic assault. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Joshua D. Carter, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Fourth Degree Domestic Assault and Possession of Less than 35 Grams of Marijuana. He was released on summonses pending a court appearance.

On May 1, 2020, officers responded to 205 1⁄2 West US 54 Highway, Dollar General Store concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of “AT&T” prepaid cell phones. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Veronica B. Roberts, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of stealing. She was released on summons pending a court appearance.

On May 1, 2020, officers arrested Angela K. Barlow, 40, of El Dorado Springs, for an El Dorado Springs Municipal Warrant charging her with Failure to Appear on the original charges of three counts of Trespassing and two counts of Stealing, with an $1830.00 bond. She was released on her own recognizance pending a court appearance.

On May 2, 2020, officers responded 1805 Westhaven concerning a reported stolen vehicle. The investigation revealed the theft of a gold 2006 Cadillac SRX, sport utility vehicle with an unknown plate number. A suspect has been identified, a report taken, and the investigation continues.
