In the case of all arrests, it must be remembered that the charge is merely an accusation and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

Law enforcement activities

The El Dorado Springs Police Department responded to 118 requests for assistance this past week, Nov. 23-29. The requests were as follows:

Ambulance Assists 5, Animal Control 8, Assist Other Agencies 7, All Escorts 1, Nuisance 4, All Other Requests for Assistance 48, Summons 10.

Found Property is available for viewing, Monday through Saturday, by appointment only. A detailed description of the property you’re wishing to view must be specified when making the appointment. Found Property is subject to disposal after 90 days based on value of the property if unclaimed by owner.

Police Report

On November 23, 2020 officers responded to 401 West Fields, Barringtons concerning a reported burglary. The investigation revealed the theft of a Hypertherm Powermax 45XL generator.  The generator was recovered.  A report taken and the investigation continues.

On November 23, 2020, officers responded to 608 North Jackson concerning a reported  larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of a chain saw, red roto-tiller and an orange five ton hydraulic jack. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On November 24, 2020, officers responded to 510 East Gentry concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of social security cards, vehicle title and smart phone.  A report taken and the investigation continues.

On November 26, 2020 officers arrested Ronnie A Cantrell, 58, of Nevada, Missouri, for the probable cause of Driving While Intoxicated and Driving While Revoked. He was released on summonses pending a court appearance.

On November 28, 2020, officers responded to 701 East Marshall for a reported burglary. The investigation revealed the theft of a Remington Model 770 rifle and Obsession Sniper GT Compound Bow. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On November 29, 2020, officers arrested Ronnie A Cantrell, 58, of Nevada, Missouri, for a Probation & Parole Warrant with no bond.  He was transferred to the Cedar County Jail pending a court appearance.

The department received a total of 73 requests for service.
