In the case of all arrests, it must be remembered that the charge is merely an accusation and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

Law enforcement activities

The El Dorado Springs Police Department responded to 95 requests for assistance this past week, March  29-April 4. The requests were as follows:

Ambulance Assists 9, Animal Control 4, Assist Other Agencies 15, All Escorts 1, Nuisance 4, All Other Requests for Assistance629, Summons 7.

Found Property is available for viewing, Monday through Saturday, by appointment only. A detailed description of the property you’re wishing to view must be specified when making the appointment. Found Property is subject to disposal after 90 days based on value of the property if unclaimed by owner.

Police Report

On March 28, 2021 officers arrested Korey Wegner, 34, of El Dorado Springs, for Cedar County Warrants, charging him with Failure to Appear on the original charges of Financial Proof Required and Failure to wear a seatbelt with a $250.00 cash bond and Failure to Appear on the original charges of Violation of Education Requirement for a child with a $250.00 cash bond. He was transferred to the Cedar County Jail pending a court appearance.

On March 29, 2021, officers responded to 425 South Main for a concerning a reported burglary. The investigation revealed the theft of a 22 caliber revolver, porcelain figurines, cordless sawzall, four surveillance cameras with a DVR, Samsung Galaxy A01, LED Headlight kits and approximately $900.00 in US currency. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On March 31, 2021, officers arrested Douglas W Bradler, 29, of El Dorado Springs,  for the probable cause of Driving While Suspended. He was released on summons pending a court appearance.

On April 2, 2021, officers responded to 228 West Spring concerning a Domestic Assault.  The investigation resulted in the arrest of Lisa D. Storey- Ransom, 53, of El Dorado Springs, a Benton County Warrant, charging her with Failure to Appear on original charges of Passing a bad check, with no bond, an El Dorado Springs Municipal Warrant, charging her with Failure to Appear on original charges of Unlicensed Kennel, with a $151.00 bond. Also arrested was Timothy N. Taber II, 56, of El Dorado Springs, for an El Dorado Springs Municipal Warrant, charging him with Failure to Appear on original charges of Assault and Dog at large with a $351.50 bond. They were transported to the Cedar County Jail pending court appearances.   

On April 3, 2021, officers responded to 425 South Main concerning a reported theft. The investigation revealed the theft of an orange 1991 Honda NightHawk motorcycle, bearing Missouri License HC7TV.  A report taken and the investigation continues.

On April 3, 2021, officers responded to 700 Sunset Drive concerning a stolen bicycle. The investigation revealed the theft of a yellow 20” bicycle.  A report taken and the investigation continues.

On April, 3, 2021, officers responded to 100 East US 54 Highway concerning an assault in progress.  A suspect has been identified, a report taken and the investigation continues.

On April, 3, 2021, officers responded to 100 East US 54 Highway, Casey’s General Store, concerning an assault in progress.  A suspect has been identified, a report taken and the investigation continues.

On April 4, 2021 officers responded to 227 West US 54 Highway, Pete’s, concerning a  larceny. The investigation resulted in the arrest of John W Sant Jr, 18, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of larceny and an El Dorado Springs Municipal Warrant, charging him with Failure to Appear on the original charges of Minor in Possession, Assault on Officer and Resisting Arrest with a $1102.00 bond. He was transported to the Cedar County Jail pending a court appearance.

On April 4, 2021 officers arrested Stephanie Fisk, 38, of El Dorado Springs, for an El Dorado Springs Municipal Warrant, charging her with Failure to Appear on the original charges of Stealing and Trespassing with a $537.50 bond. She was held pending a court appearance.
