In the case of all arrests, it must be remembered that the charge is merely an accusation and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

The El Dorado Springs Police Department responded to 86 requests for assistance this past week, April 12-19. The requests were as follows:

Ambulance Assists 11, Animal Control 18, Assist Other Agencies 11, All Escorts 0, Nuisance 4, All Other Requests for Assistance 42, Summons 3.

Found Property is subject to disposal after 90 days based on value of the property if unclaimed by owner.

Police Report

On April 12, 2021, officer arrested Brandon J Marriott, 37, of El Dorado Springs, for a El Dorado Springs Municipal Warrant, charging him with Failure to Appear concerning Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Marijuana, Trespass with a $1320.00 bond and a Cedar County Warrant, charging him with Possession of Controlled Substance except 35 Grams of Marijuana and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia with a $20,000.00 bond. He was transferred to the Cedar County Jail pending bond and a court appearance.

On April 13, 2021, officers arrested Moniquer R Vannattew, 34, of Nevada Missouri, for a Vernon County Warrant, charging her with Failure to Appear with the original charge of Misusing 911 with no bond. She was transferred to the Vernon County Jail pending a court appearance.

On 14 April 2021 officers of the El Dorado Springs Police assisted by the Cedar County Sheriff’s Office served a search warrant at 217 West Marshall Street after officers received information concerning illegal drug activity.  Officers located illegal drugs, drug paraphernalia, and potted marijuana plants.  The investigation resulted in the arrest of Jarret R Major, 31, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Distribute and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Carrie E Shane, 36, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Manufacturing, Production, and Cultivation of Marijuana.  Officers completed probable cause statements for these charges.  Officer received a Cedar County Warrant charging Jarret Major with Delivery of a Controlled Substance with a $15,000.00 bond and a Cedar County Warrant charging Carrie Shane with Manufacture of a Controlled Substance and Keeping and Maintaining a Public Nuisance with a $5,000.00 bond.  Jarret Major was transferred to the Cedar County Jail pending a bond and a court appearance. Carrie Shane was released on bond pending a court appearance.

Police Report

On April 20, 2021, officer responded to 227 West 54 Highway, Pete’s, concerning a reported larceny.  The investigation revealed the theft of $44.00 in gasoline. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On April 21, 2021, officers responded to 800 North Main, Apt 19, concerning a reported theft. The investigation revealed the theft of $100.00 in U.S Currency taken from the mail. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On April 22, 2021, officers responded to 1301 East Industrial Parkway, Southwest Missouri Psychiatric Rehabilitation Center, concerning a reported assault. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On April 22, 2021 officers responded to 312 West US 54 Highway, Woods Supermarket, concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of several small bottles of liquor. A suspect has been identified, a report taken and the investigation continues.

On April 22, 2021 officers arrested Adam D. Kruse,40, of El Dorado Springs, for Bates County Warrants, charging him with Failure to Appear on the original charge of Driving While Revoked with a $250.00 bond, Failure to Appear on the original charge of Driving in the Right Lane with $500.00 bond, Failure to Appear on the original charge of Driving while Intoxicated with a $1000.00 bond and Failure to Appear on the original charge of Speeding with a $1000.00 bond, to include a Cass County Warrant charging him with Failure to Appear on the original charge of Speeding with a $100.00 cash bond. He was released on bond pending a court appearance.

On April 23, 2021, officers responded to 318 South Ohio concerning a reported larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of a UPS package containing a Harmonic Balancer with a value of $300.00. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On April 24, 2021, officers arrested Terry G. Coleman, 40, of El Dorado Springs, for Cedar County Warrants charging him with Felony Possession of a Weapon, Felony Forgery of Checks, Felony Larceny and a Misdemeanor Moving Traffic Violation all with no bond and a Polk County Warrant charging him with Felony Amphetamine Possession with a no bond. He was transferred to the Cedar County Jail pending a court appearance.

On April 24, 2021, officers arrested Ricky R. Rash 24, of El Dorado Springs, for an El Dorado Springs Municipal Warrant, charging him with Failure to Appear on the Original charges of Speeding with a $105.00 bond. He was released on bond pending a court appearance.

On April 25, 2021, officers responded to 208 West Fields concerning a reported domestic assault. A suspect has been identified, a report taken and the investigation continues.

On April 25, 2021, officer responded to a reported larceny from a motor vehicle at 200 South Main Street. The investigation revealed the theft of a gray backpack containing a Google Chrome book, Library Book, and Apple Pro Ear Pods.  A report taken and the investigation continues.
