In the case of all arrests, it must be remembered that the charge is merely an accusation and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

Law enforcement activities

The El Dorado Springs Police Department responded to 110 requests for assistance this past week, July 12-18. The requests were as follows:

Ambulance Assists 5, Animal Control 11, Assist Other Agencies 14, All Escorts 1, Nuisance 11, All Other Requests for Assistance 68, Summons 17.

Found Property is available for viewing, Monday through Saturday, by appointment only. A detailed description of the property you’re wishing to view must be specified when making the appointment. Found Property is subject to disposal after 90 days based on value of the property if unclaimed by owner.

Police Report

On July 12, 2021, officers responded to 200 West McCrary Circle, Apt 34, concerning a larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of $3,000.00 cash. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On July 13, 2021, officers responded to 100 East US 54 Highway, Casey’s General Store, concerning a shoplifting. The investigation revealed the theft of a half pint of Glacier Vodka. A suspect has been identified, a report taken and the investigation continues.

On July 13, 2021, officers responded to 206 North Park Street concerning a disturbance. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Quentin J. Sieleman, 18, of El Dorado Springs, for a St Clair County Warrant, charging him with Failure to Appear on the Original charge of Operating a Motor Vehicle without Maintaining Financial Responsibility with a $219.00 cash bond. He was transferred to the St Clair County Jail pending bond and a court appearance.

On July 15, 2021, officers responded to 508 South Park concerning a Property Damage. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Terry G. Coleman, 54, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Property Damage. He was released on summons pending a court appearance.

On July 15, 2021, officers responded to the 100 block of West Twyman concerning a reported theft. The investigation revealed the theft of a 36 inch light bar and two small light bar from a grain truck. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On July 16, 2021 officers arrested Travis J. Matzke, 38, of El Dorado Springs, for a Cedar County Warrant, charging him with Property Damage with a $1,500.00 bond. He was transferred to the Cedar County Jail pending a court appearance.

On July 16, 2021, officers arrested Michael K. Hoover, 55, Jerico Springs, for an El Dorado Springs Municipal Warrant, charging him with Failure to Appear on the original charge of Speeding with a $150.00 bond. He was released on bond pending a court appearance.

On July 16, 2021, officers responded to the 100 block of West Broadway concerning a peace disturbance. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Joseph I. Wyatt, 36, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Driving While Suspended, and Expired License plates. He was released on summonses pending a court appearance.

On July 17, 2021 officers responded to 100 East US 54 Highway, Casey’s General Store, concerning a larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of a Monster Energy drink and a bottle of Vodka. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Christopher S. Christensen, 24, of El Dorado Springs, charging him with Shoplifting and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was released on summonses pending a court appearance.

On July 17, 2021 officers responded to 208 West Fields concerning a larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of a Missouri license plate bearing EE8C6W. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On July 17, 2021, officers arrested Kadin C. Saderstrom, 19, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Minor in Possession of Alcoholic Beverage. He was released on summons pending a court appearance.

On July 18, 2021, officers responded to, 227 West US 54 Highway, Pete’s Gas Station, concerning the theft of a motor vehicle. The investigation revealed the theft of a charcoal color 2003 Chevy Suburban, bearing Missouri plates 4UBK76 and a Ruger SR9 9mm stainless handgun with black polymer grip.  Suspects have been identified, a reported taken and the investigation continues.
