In the case of all arrests, it must be remembered that the charge is merely an accusation and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

Law enforcement activities

The El Dorado Springs Police Department responded to 100 requests for assistance this past week, Aug. 9-15. The requests were as follows:

Ambulance Assists 14, Animal Control 11, Assist Other Agencies 12, All Escorts 1, Nuisance 6, All Other Requests for Assistance 53, Summons 2.

Found Property is available for viewing, Monday through Saturday, by appointment only. A detailed description of the property you’re wishing to view must be specified when making the appointment. Found Property is subject to disposal after 90 days based on value of the property if unclaimed by owner.

Police Report

On August 9, 2021, officers arrested Ronnie Cantrell, 59, of El Dorado Springs for and Benton County Failure to Appear warrant, with the original charges of two counts Possession of a Controlled Substance with no bond.  Cantrell was later transferred to the Benton County Sheriff’s Office.

On August 12, 2021 officers responded to 504 East Fields in reference to an assault. A report taken and the investigation continues.

On August 13, 2021 officers responded to 1301 East Industrial Parkway concerning a theft from a motor vehicle.  The investigation revealed the theft of a wallet, Missouri Driver’s License, Nurse ID, cigarettes and Bank cards. A report taken and the investigation continues.
