In the case of all arrests, it must be remembered that the charge is merely an accusation and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

Law enforcement activities

The El Dorado Springs Police Department responded to 90 requests for assistance this past week, Dec. 20-26. The requests were as follows:

Ambulance Assists 14, Animal Control 4, Assist Other Agencies 13, All Escorts 0, Nuisance 6, All Other Requests for Assistance 53, Summons 15.

Found Property is available for viewing, Monday through Saturday, by appointment only. A detailed description of the property you’re wishing to view must be specified when making the appointment. Found Property is subject to disposal after 90 days based on value of the property if unclaimed by owner.

Police Report

On December 23, 2021, officers arrested Jerel Ricky Faught Jr, 40, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Failure to Stop for a Posted Stop Sign and Failure to Yield to an Emergency Vehicle.  He was released on summonses pending a court appearance. 

On December 24, 2021 officers responded to 115 West Marshall concerning larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of a purse and its contents. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Cassandra J. Robison, 31, of El Dorado Springs for a Nevada Municipal Warrant, charging her with Failure to Appear on the original charge of Shoplifting with a $214 cash bond.  She was released on her own recognizance.

On December 24, 2021, officers responded to 400 South Park Street concerning a stolen property. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Bambi J. Birdsong, 41, of El Dorado Springs, for the probable cause of Trespassing, Stealing and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. She was released on summonses pending a court appearance.

On December 26, 2021, officers responded to 100 East U.S. 54 Highway, Casey’s General Store, concerning a larceny. The investigation revealed the theft of an iPhone and pizza. A suspect had been identified, a report taken and the investigation continues.
