Text Caster

Sheriff Lee Hilty would like to share more information about the Text Caster partnership.

Upon signing up for the service, citizens will be able to get alerts on road closings, weather alerts directly from the National Weather Service, ongoing crime situations, and other emergency notifications. This will allow you to have immediate notifications in the event of a wanted person, a dangerous weather situation, and/or general event notifications

We were able to apprehend a fleeing subject within the first two weeks of having Text Caster available!

Arrests

Sheriff Lee Hilty reported deputies made 4 arrests and took multiple reports during the week of December 28th, 2021 through January 3rd, 2022.

Thomas, Daniel- On December 29, 2021, Daniel Thomas, 21, Osceola, was arrested by St. Clair County Deputies for First degree Domestic Assault, and Driving while Revoked. The arrests were made after deputies conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle for speeding. Upon further communication with the involved parties, deputies investigated a domestic dispute and Thomas was arrested and transported to the St. Clair County jail.

Zachary, Clayton- On December 30, 2021, Clayton Zachary, 31, Dunnegan, was arrested by a St. Clair Deputy on a St. Clair County warrant for Unlawful Possession of an Illegal Weapon. The bond was set at $10,000.00 cash or surety.

Robinson, Chase- On December 31, 2021, Chase Robinson, 22, Lowry City, was arrested by a St. Clair County Deputy for Driving While Intoxicated. The arrest was made after a deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for driving over the posted speed limit. Upon making contact with the driver, deputies could smell the odor of alcohol omitting from the vehicle. The driver failed multiple field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Clair County jail.

Hamby, Alisha- On January 2, 2022, Alisha Hamby, 32, Collins, was arrested by a St. Clair Deputy on an out of state warrant for felony charges of theft. The bond was set at $20,000.00 cash or surety.

Stolen Property in Appleton City

On Friday, December 31, 2021, deputies responded to a call for service in regards to a stolen firearm in Appleton City. Upon making contact with the victim, he stated that he was missing a 1911 0.45 caliber gun. A report was taken and the investigation is still ongoing.

House Fire in Collins

On Monday, December 27, 2021, deputies responded to a call for service in regards to a house fire. Deputies were notified that there was still a victim in the house and attempted to rescue the victim but were regretfully unsuccessful. The investigation was turned over to the Missouri Division of Fire Safety.
