Text Caster 

Sheriff Lee Hilty would like to share more information about the Text Caster partnership.

Upon signing up for the service, citizens will be able to get alerts on road closings, weather alerts directly from the National Weather Service, ongoing crime situations, and other emergency notifications. This will allow you to have immediate notifications in the event of a wanted person, a dangerous weather situation, and/or general event notifications

We were able to apprehend a fleeing subject within the first two weeks of having Text Caster available!

Arrests

Sheriff Lee Hilty reported deputies made 3 arrests and took multiple reports during the week of January 11th, 2022 through January 17th, 2022.

Clark, Nathan- On January 12, 2022, Nathan Clark, 43, Osceola, was arrested by a St. Clair Deputy on an out of state warrant for Property Theft with no bond.

Kirkpatrick- Mary- On January 13, 2022, Mary Kirkpatrick, 50, Clinton, was arrested by a St. Clair Deputy on a St. Clair County warrant for 4th Degree Assault and 2nd Degree Harassment. The bond was set at $10,000.00 cash or surety.

Davis, Trevor- On January 16, 2022, Trevor Davis, 32, Appleton City, was arrested by a St. Clair Deputy for 3rd Degree Property Damage. The arrest was made after deputies responded to a call for service in regards to a break-in. Upon making contact with the victim, deputies recorded that there was over $150 worth of damage to the property. The victim knew who did the damage and deputies located Trevor Davis on the property where he was arrested.

Stolen Property in Appleton City

On Wednesday, January 12, 2022, deputies responded to a call for service in regards to stolen property. Upon making contact with the victim, she reported that her 9mm LUGER Pistol was missing from her property. The firearm was valued at $200.00. A report was taken and the investigation is still ongoing.

Stolen Property in Roscoe

On Friday, January 14, 2022, deputies responded to a call for service in regards to stolen property. Upon making contact with the victim, he stated that someone had stolen all of his construction tools from his job site. He reported that he was missing several types of Milwaukee and DeWalt power tools, an air compressor, a LED work light, a tool bag and toolbox, as well as other miscellaneous tools. The total value of the stolen property is unknown.  A report was taken and the investigation is still ongoing. 

Stolen Vehicle in Osceola

On Friday, January 14, 2022, deputies responded to a call for service in regards to a stolen vehicle. Upon making contact with the victim, he stated that someone had stolen his vehicle from the residence he was staying at. The truck is a white 2017 Chevrolet Silverado with Kansas registration of 756NFE. The trucks front plate says “EAT BEEF” and the front of the truck has a cattle guard. The victim also reported that inside of the truck were his wallet, game cameras, and four firearms. The missing firearms are a 22 250 camouflage gun with a black barrel and a sterling scope, a stainless steel and brown Kimber, a Colt .45 1911 defender black and grey, and a Stover M3000 shotgun, green and tan in color. The stolen vehicle was seen travelling northbound and the victims debit card was used at Dollar General in Urich. A photo of the surveillance footage will be posted below. A report was taken and the investigation is still ongoing.
