El Dorado Christian School recognized its fall sports seniors Friday evening, Sept. 30 after the varsity volleyball game. The girls played hard and beat their opponent in only two sets. After the match, the seniors, Olivia Bryson and Sydney Williams, were honored for their dedication to the sport. They were asked to come out on the court with their parents to be recognized and given gifts. Sydney Williams has played volleyball for five years and Olivia Bryson has played for eight years. Their season ends with two tournaments coming up on Oct. 15 at Christian Learning Center in Fort Scott, KS, and on Oct. 20-22 at MCSAA Championship in Joplin. In addition to volleyball, Olivia Bryson was honored at the same time for her dedication to ECS crosscountry. She has excelled throughout the 6 years she has participated. This year alone, she has medaled in three out of the four meets so far, and she set a new personal record of 22 flat. She stills has 4 more meets this season including one at El Dorado Springs R-2 on Oct. 18. Thank you to both of these ladies for participating and representing ECS. Let’s continue to cheer them on throughout the rest of their senior year.
