The home town Golf Bulldogs started off strong and have continued to perform well. Since the last writing, the Bulldogs have placed 5th at Versailles, have won the Aurora Invitiational and have continued to dominate in match play. Seniors Auston Smith and Devun Salazar have headlined as they each have placed in the Top 15 in each competition.
Coming up for the Bulldogs they tee off Monday 4/18 at Payne Stewart Golf Course in Springfield Missouri against some of the best competition in SWMo. Cosch Beckner said, “we will see some better completion than at the state level on Tuesday. We will see the top teams in our district and in the class above us we will see some really low scores. It should be a great opportunity for our team.”
Following the MSU Relay event in Springfield, the Bulldogs will be at home on Thursday to face; Neveda, Butler, and Clinton. Tee off is set for 3 p.m. at Gene Pray Memorial. Then on Monday 4/25 they will compete for a conference championship at Warsaw.
If you have time stop out Thursday and support these great student athletes.
