I wish to thank our close family and friends for the flowers, food and contact with me and my family during the loss of my mother, Lois Taylor Frikken. In times like these it is family and friends that get you through the days.

Also, since I wasn’t allowed to give my favorite memory of mom at the funeral like her other children, I would like people to know what she was like. Mom and my step-dad, Jim, lived next door to us for over 10 years. When their house needed repairs or limbs hauled off after a storm or snow removed from their driveway, Dannie would take his tractor or tools and help them. Mom always wanted to pay Dannie, but he would take no money. A couple of days later Mom would come down to our house and bring a freshly-baked apple pie.  My husband, Dannie, said she  made the best apple pies for miles around. Mom repayed kindness with kindness always.

May God Bless each and every one of you who cared enough to make this time easier for us.
