The Cedar County Ambulance Board can’t make the announcement yet, but appears to have sold the old ambulance barn in Stockton. Under unfinished business, the board announced it is under contract with a closing date set for July 19. No price or buyer into has been released.

Present for the Monday, June 18. meeting in the new ambulance barn at 319 Englewood was a bare quorum: John Wilson – chairman, Rusty Norvel – vice chairman, Nadine Sinclair, and Diana Johnson. Board members Keith Kasco and Evelyn Boyle were absent.

Under new business – ambulance service contract, Rusty Norval brought up at the last meeting to notify the current provider of the board’s intent to take bids when the current contract expires Dec. 31, 2018. Chairman Wilson said he would contact their attorney, Frank Foster, to write that letter. That letter was not issued.

In his manager’s report, Tom Ryan, said that all ambulances are running except 711 which suffered cosmetic damage when it hit an abutment.

Ryan said there is a need for a cot/load system for the new ambulance. The board tabled it to see how the budget is going.

The contractor, Lyndon Kenney, discussed the air conditioning system.

The board received a request from the

Stockton Mayor to contribute to the fireworks fund. The board did not respond because a publicly supported entity cannot donate tax money.
