SCOUTS HONOR VETERANS – On Saturday, Nov. 11, 2017, Scout Troop 230 met at the El Dorado Springs cemetery to place 150 flags on veterans graves and to pay their respect for our veterans. As the boys placed flags they were able to read the headstone and see what branch and war they fought in. Many questions were asked and leaders were able to shed some light on our nation’s history. Some of the boys have had great-grandparents, or other relatives that have fought or are serving now. These are our next generation to carry on tradition of honoring our veterans. The Scouts are (from left): Adiah Stockdale, Blake Loane, Joshua Stockdale, Cody LeAn, Layden Henderson, Keeton Kapas, David Nations Jr., Clayton Loane, Dayton Williams and Wyatt Wilkinson. There was no ceremony at this memorial in City Cemetery because not enough Veterans were available. The Scouts recited the Pledge of Allegiance.
