If you draw a name, please be prepared to do some little something for the person you drew.  It can be only a note left in the basket Sheryl brings for us to leave things in.

Fall rally: the address for the location of fall rally is 105 W. Division St., Bolivar.

LJ donated a decorated bag for the table centerpiece.  Thank you, LJ,

Sheryl asked if we wanted to participate in the Christmas Parade.  LJ and husband will have their convertible in the parade.  Possibly some could ride in it with them.  This was tabled after some discussion.

Sheryl said the spring Baked Potato Luncheon is penciled in for March 18.  This too was tabled till a later date.

The Floor was turned over to Marilyn for the program. She spoke on Accountability and tuning up your attitude, taken from the TOPS real life book.

What is your attitude towards exercise? You must be committed to an exercise program. It requires self-control. You need to set goals (I will walk for 20 minutes three times a week). Be realistic, it does not happen overnight. Make the time to exercise. You can even exercise while watching TV. Try to do some exercise most days. Do the more intense exercise two or three times a week.

Benefits of regular exercise are: Lower blood pressure, weight loss and muscle strength. Muscle strength can prevent falls. Remember check with your doctor before starting an exercise program

Marilyn then demonstrated 10 exercises we can do at home every day.

With no other business meeting was adjourned with our motto “IF IT IS TO BE IT IS UP TO ME”.
