TOPS Chapter 319 El Dorado Springs met in the

Church of Christ Sanctuary on Thursday, July 20.

Leader, Robbie C opened the meeting and Kay S. led us in singing “To TOPS Club We Will Go”.

We welcomed two visitors, Nancy and Laddy, former members and current TOPS chapter members in Kansas.

Linda H and Jan T both were the best losers for the week, both lost 2.8 lbs.  Thirty One weighed in and the chapter had a net loss of 3.8 lbs.

Robbie reminded us measurements will be taken next week, please come early so everyone can get measured before the meeting.

Remember, Saturday some of the members will be walking in the St Jude’s Walk/run for a reason. Even if you do not walk, come out and support those that do.

KOPS Society meeting will be Aug. 5 in Springfield at 8:30 am.

July chapter dues are due.

NEW BUSINESS:

Contest report:  Warren has worked up a new contest for us.  It is “Hot Road Races”

The Contest will run from July 20 weigh in for 8 weeks.  Each person will have a car (you can bring your own hot wheels if you want). You move forward with each .2 loss.  Gains = a crash and you must go to a pit stop.  To get out of the pits you must lose what you gained + .4.  A missed meeting will cause you to have a pit stop.

KOPS must be in under goal and in leeway.  Out of leeway or over goal you crash.

Question was asked if we could charge money to get out of the pit. It was decided you must pay 25¢ if you crash.

Entry fee is $1 per person.

Marble Game:  Chris W. won right to draw for a marble but did not get the white one.

Robbie informed us we will be losing six of our members.  They are: Becky Dade, Tom Dade, Marguerite Goodwin, Paul Goodwin, Felicia De Klein, and Verna Tipper.  They are starting an evening TOPS chapter.  They will meet at 6:00 p.m. on Thursdays.  Their first meeting will be next week.
