Morning message at the Rockville United Methodist Church was by Pastor Nick Van Dam entitled “Going Forth” taken from II Corinthians 5:16-21; communion was served to all who wished to participate. Join us Sunday mornings at 9 a.m. for worship.

Mt. Zion Bible study held in the Tom and Beverly Pelkey home each Tuesday at 7 p.m. had seven in attendance.

The weather in the Mt. Zion area has been cool and cloudy; sure enjoy the sun when it shines.

Mark your calendar for Saturday, Nov. 11, 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., the VFW Auxiliary Post 11242 will have their fundraiser turkey dinner at the Appleton City Park Building. All funds are used for local post, looking forward to seeing you there.

Recent visitors in the Howard and Dixie Peterson home have been Kent, Mitchel and Jodi Crawford, Mike and Stacy Griffith, Marge Zink and Beverly Pelkey; Dixie has been to the doctor for tests.

The changing colors of the leaves are here; the people of St. Clair County don’t need to leave the county to enjoy seeing the beautiful colors of the trees.

Of all the gadgets you can buy to make life easier. Well we got one at our house; the bulb planter that works using the battery power drill, using a funny looking drill bit makes a perfect hole for planting bulbs. I’m going to plant more.

John and Julia Snethen made another trip to Clinton, Julia’s brother, Junior, is not doing well. Those visiting were Ron Thompson, Robert and Janice Hood.
