Morning message at the Rockville United Methodist Church was by Pastor Nick Van Dam entitled “Being a Disciple” from John 1:29-42, join us Sunday at 9 a.m. for morning worship.

Mt. Zion Home Bible study meets in the Tom and Beverly Pelkey home at 7 p.m. each Tuesday to study the Bible we had nine in attendance.

The Mt. Zion area has had real summer weather for the past several days. We did enjoy a light shower Sunday morning early and much cooler.

Mt. Zion Club met in the Marge Zink home July 19, with nine members present, roll call was your favorite vegetable? Wilma gave the devotion taken from Esther. Tacking a crisis quilt was finished then we enjoyed bingo. Aug 16 will be the next meeting and we will celebrate its 94th birthday. Plan for a dinner meeting at noon then a program by the conservation; the meeting will be held in the Marge Zink home, all are welcome.

At the Robin Siegismund farm not much is going on just keeping cool; Belle did try to help a little kid  who got his head stuck in the fence get out; but mommy goat didn’t see it that way Robin went to help getting caught in the middle, but all turned out well.

Sheri and Bob Suster visited Kathy and Forrest Albin for an enjoyable dinner and visiting.

Tom and Beverly Pelkey are still trying to solve the mystery of who is eating the wiring off their vehicles, it struck again. Charles Wilson and Coralee Miller enjoyed dinner with Tom and Beverly Friday.

Recent visitors in the Howard and Dixie Peterson has been Arthur and Wilma Bedford.

Soon to be time to vote again. Vote at the courthouse during business hours.

Julia Snethen, Ramona Vandivier and Chryshella Akers went wedding dress shopping for the second time in a month to David’s Bridal in Blue Springs Sunday and finally found the dress. So now they have found the venue, the dress and decided on the colors. Next is the attendants dresses hopefully that won’t take as long.

John Snethen has been driving his OATS bus and going to the races on Saturday night at Wheatland.
