Madalyn’s Kitchen, south of Schell City, will closed at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 20, she will serve breakfast only. She will be open at her regular time on Sunday, May 21, then be closed on Saturday, May 27 through Monday, May 29. She will reopen at her regular time on Tuesday, May 30.

Bob and Cheryl Ellerman, of Edwards, spent Wednesday, May 10, in the home of Jewell and Helen Ellerman. They ate dinner at Scooters Restaurant at El Dorado Springs.

Church service was held at the Harwood Baptist Church Sunday, May 14. Brother Jon Caudle Sr.’s sermon, Faithful Mothers” was taken from II Timothy 5:5-7 and Proverbs 31:10-31. They gave every mother that lived in Harwood a flower for Mother’s Day.

The rain had finally stopped for a few days in the Harwood and Schell City area. The farmers need to get in the fields to plant crops.

Several from the Harwood/Schell City area attended graduation at the Northeast Vernon County High School at Walker Saturday evening, May 13.

I talked to Connie Locke, who was pastor at the Schell United Methodist until it closed and is now at Marionville. She is doing okay and says to tell everyone hi.
