Madalyn’s Kitchen, south of Schell City, will be closed Saturday, Sept. 2 through Monday, Sept. 4, for the Labor Day weekend. She will reopen on Tuesday, Sept. 5. She will then close around 2 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 8 and will be open for breakfast until 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 9, then closed for the rest of the day for the Fall Festival.

Bob and Cheryl Ellerman, of Edwards, visited Jewell and Helen Ellerman Sunday afternoon, Aug. 27.

Jewell and Helen Ellerman attended the birthday dinner for anyone that had birthdays in the month of August at the El Dorado Springs Senior Center on Thursday, Aug. 24. They have it the fourth Thursday of each month for the ones that have a birthday for that month.

Madalyn Crocker’s grandson, Caleb Crocker, is running for Little Prince for the Schell City Fall Festival on Friday, Sept. 8, and Saturday, Sept. 9. She is selling tickets for him at her restaurant, Madalyn’s Kitchen.

Church service was held at the Harwood Baptist Church Sunday, Aug. 27. Brother Jon Caudle Sr.’s sermon “God is Faithful” was taken from Psalm 57, Psalm 14 and John 7:37-39.
