News from Harwood and Schell City

Madalyn’s Kitchen, south of Schell City, will hold their steak dinner on April 22 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. On Tuesday, April 24, she will close around 2 p.m. so she can attend her grandson’s spring concert at the Northeast Vernon County Elementary School at Schell City.

Rosie Taylor was a dinner guest in the home of Jewell and Helen Ellerman Sunday, April 15.

The Harwood and Schell City areas received some rain this past week. They had a few warm days and now it turned cold just like winter.

Ruth Ijams, of Schell City, celebrated her 86th birthday Monday, April 16. Her daughter and husband, Ed and Mary Henderson, of Arizona, are here for two week. Her daughter, Peggy O’Brien, who lives with her, and her daughter, Jeanie O’Brien, helped her celebrate her birthday.

Church service was held at the Harwood Baptist Church Sunday, April 15. Brother Mike Dunivan’s sermon “Casting a Vision” was taken from Jeremiah 2:1-10
