Madalyn’s Kitchen, south of Schell City, said that as of now, she does not plan on being closed any for the rest of September.

Jewell and Helen Ellerman attended the Senior Center Fried Chicken Friday Sept. 7, at the Senior Center in El Dorado Springs. It is held the first Friday of every month.

A large crowd attended the Fall Festival at Schell City Friday, Sept. 7, and Saturday, Sept. 8.

Jewell and Helen Ellerman attended the retirement party for Jo Ann Redburn Friday, Aug. 31, at Rosemary’s Beauty Shop at El Dorado Springs where she had worked for 48 years. She had done my hair (Helen) for 50-some years. Her and her family had lived in Harwood for most of her married life until they built a house near Dederick.

Church service was held at the Harwood Baptist Church Sunday, Sept. 9. Brother Mike Dunivan’s sermon was taken from Mark 4:35-41.

Jerry and Karen Coy attended grandparent’s day at the day center at Calhoun for their grandson, Hunter Coy, son of Joey and Aimee Coy, Friday.

The Schell City area got around five inches of rain Thursday, Sept. 6.
