News from Harwood and Schell City

Jewell and Helen Ellerman ate at the El Dorado Springs Senior Center Thursday, Sept. 27. It was the birthday dinner for those who had birthdays in September.

Madalyn’s Kitchen, south of Schell City, says that as for as she knows now she will be open for most of the time in October except for Wednesday because she is closed for that day every week. She will have me put it in my news if she has specials or if she closes for some reason.

Jewell and Helen Ellerman and a friend, Rosie Taylor, had dinner at Madalyn’s Kitchen, south of Schell City, Sunday, Sept. 30. They were celebrating the birthday of Jewell which she was 92 on Oct. 2.

Church service was held at the Harwood Baptist Church Sunday, Sept. 30. Brother Mike Dunivan’s sermon “The Lord’s Supper” was taken from 1 Corinthians 7:20-27. They had Holy Communion.

The Harwood area received one inch of rain Tuesday night, Sept. 25. The rain is much needed for the farmers.
