Bob and Cheryl Ellerman, of Edwards, visited in the home of Jewell and Helen Ellerman Monday Jan. 1.

Church service was held at the Harwood Baptist Church Sunday, Dec. 31. Brother Jon Caudle Sr.’s sermon “Joy” was taken from Act 4:11-13 and Luke 2:25-38. The Harwood Baptist Church was to have the Fifth Sunday evening service because the Fifth Sunday fell on New Year’s Eve, they are going to hold their Fifth Sunday service at the Harwood Baptist Church on Sunday evening, Jan. 7.

Joey, Amiee and Hunter Coy, of Calhound, spent Sunday Dec. 31, in the home of Terry and Karen Coy.

Memorial service for Lena Blossom Brown will be held at the Elks Lodge at Nevada from 1-3 p.m. Sunday Jan. 7. Lena Blossom grew up in the Harwood area.

It sure has been cold in the Harwood and Schell City areas in the last few days. The farmers are having to keep ice chopped for the cattle and other animals.
