Madalyn’s Kitchen, south of Schell City, will be closed after breakfast on Friday, Dec. 8. She will serve the meal for the Duke Mason show at El Dorado Springs. She will close at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 14, so she can attend the Elementary Christmas program at the Schell City School. She will have her Christmas buffet on Thursday, Dec. 21, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Madalyn Crocker served the Vernon County Ambulance District Christmas dinner at the Eagle Lodge at Nevada Friday evening, Dec. 1. Her son, Galvin Crocker, received the EMT award for the year.

Church service was held at the Harwood Baptist Church Sunday, Dec. 3. Brother Jon Caudle Sr.’s sermon, “God’s Gratitude Strength” was taken from 1 Thessalonians 1:2-10

Brett Alexander’s grandson, of Jerry and Karen Coy, received first place and the grand prize in the science fair at the Elementary School at Schell City last week. He will go to Joplin in March with his project. He is in the fifth grade at Schell.
