Morning message at the Rockville United Methodist Church was by Pastor Nick Van Dam entitled “On the Fringes” from Joshua 2:1-11, young and old enjoyed Bible School Saturday.

Mt. Zion Home Bible study meets in the Tom and Beverly Pelkey home at 7 p.m. each Tuesday to study the Bible, everyone is welcome.

The Mt. Zion area was thankful for the rain this past week, two inches to four inches in some areas, sure made the plants look better and we enjoyed the cooler weather.

Our sympathy to the Tommie Gragg family; funeral services were held Monday, July 30. Interment in the Rockville Cemetery. Tommie was a lifelong member of the Rockville Community.

Over at the Robin Siegismund farm Belle, the dog was put in time out as she should have been for taking a nap in the road. Some of those guineas have grown up till they set on the porch railing and hollow bothering Belle worse than scratching on the blackboard; the little ones are okay for the time.

Recent visitors in the Howard and Dixie Peterson home have been Mitchel Crawford and Jeff and Eric Peterson. Howard and Dixie went to the deer camp Sunday evening to visit Kent Crawford and Beth.

Tom and Beverly Pelkey think maybe the varmint has gotten tired of eating the wiring on the vehicles for several days anyway.

Happy Birthday to Kathleen Went Dryer on her 90th birthday, family and friends gathered at the Park Building in Appleton City on Sunday, July 30, to celebrate.

Julia Snethen spent a quite week at home Saturday, she attended a Bridal shower for her niece, Brandy Fuller, in Clinton. John ran his bus route.
