Iola Columbine Gustason, 93, was born on July 11, 1925, in Clinton, the daughter of Grandville Creed Headley and Dolly Mae (Shelton) Headley. She entered into rest on Friday, July 20, in Hollister.

She married Glen Gustason on June 24, 1942, in Osceola and they were blessed with two children. Iola was a beloved wife, mother and grandma.

She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Elks Ladies Club and the Cass County Health Systems Hospital Auxiliary in Atlantic, IA.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Glen Gustason; brother, Ray Headley; sister, LaJune Stewart; and great-granddaughter, Faith McLaren.

Iola is survived by her children, Robert (Bob) Gustason of Hollister and Carolyn McLaren and husband, John, of Branson; her daughter-in-law, Evelyn Gustason, of Nixa; four grandchildren – Sean McLaren, and wife, Lisa, Nick McLaren, James Gustason and Aimee Butler; seven great-grandchildren – Michael and Madisen Butler, Maddie and Jack McLaren, Mason, Caleb and Katie McLaren; and sister-in-law, Betty Headley.

Burial will be in the Atlantic Cemetery in Atlantic, IA, under the direction of Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory in Branson, Telephone – 417/334-3670.
