Roy Richard Scott

Roy Richard Scott, 77, passed away peacefully in his home, Dec. 26, 2018, after a short illness, surrounded by his family.

Roy was born July 6, 1941, to the late Winona Cole Scott Ingram and the late Aaron Scott.  He was united in marriage to Estella (Pat) Goodman on March 31, 1962. Roy was a resident and business owner at Humansville.

Roy had a passion for hard work and enjoyed working at his salvage yard and farm. He also believed everybody deserved an opportunity and had a heart of gold with helping other people.

Roy was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Geraldine Wilkerson; and a brother, Walter Scott.

He is survived by his wife, Pat, of the home; three sons – Johnny and Lois Scott – Claremore, OK, and Ricky Scott and Randy and Sharon Scott – both of Humansville; and a daughter, Melissa and Randy Vest – Bolivar; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister ,Jean Campbell – Humansville; James (Jim) and JoAnn Scott – Independence and a sister-in-law, Joy Scott, of El Dorado Springs and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
